The Street Association is an initiative which aims to strengthen the community within your street and has an emphasis on keeping neighbours safe and well. It looks to reduce the specific targeting of vulnerable people by organised crime groups such as doorstep crime and scams as well as raise awareness of social isolation, loneliness, domestic abuse and other hidden issues affecting a local community.
The Street Association provides an information pack with tools and resources so residents can offer that little bit of advice to their neighbours who may have concerns or need support. The pack has signposting opportunities to professional services and information on issues relevant to the neighbourhood / Buckinghamshire.
From time to time members will have access to free workshops, delivered by professionals, covering community safety issues so members can act as the eyes and ears on their street to safeguard their neighbours.
